Yes, THAT Josh Towers! :mj07: Is anyone else catching this? 86 MPH fastballs down the middle of the plate and the Tigers can't do anything with them. At one point he had retired like 15 in a row. This is the same Tigers team that just got shut down by Jaret Wright not too long ago. Geez, do they just mentally check out when they're going up against bad pitchers or something? They scored 1 in the first and that's it. I'm beginning to think this game could go 18 innings and they wouldn't score another run.:scared

At least it answers my question about whether or not the opening -110 line was a trap. Yessir it was!

I am watching the game and this is a complete joke! I cannot believe that Towers is pitching the game of his life as he really is not this good.

The bonus is BJ Ryan was placed on the DL... let's hope for a comeback two days in a row! :scared

Yeah I saw that. It's pretty sad when you're hoping that Josh Towers gets pulled isn't it? :142smilie

Just my opinion but I don't think it has as much to do with Towers as it does with Detroit just taking the day off. They actually got to him in the first inning and may have scored in the 2nd if that idiot Pudge didn't give away an out by trying to steal 2nd. After that their effort has been non-existent.

Oh well. I have nobody to blame but myself for that one. Knew the opening line was fishy but I placed a last minute impulse bet on the Tigers right before game time. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

In other news, if anyone can tell me why Sheffield is still a #3 hitter in this league I'd love to know. He seems to rarely produce in clutch situations. Isn't he a 6 or a 7 guy now? How old is he? 54? :142smilie

Can you explain why Maglio is a No. 4 hitter??? Its no one person on that team, all their power is cold right now on that team.
