The May Contest is winding down with only three days left to determine our first "King of the Dogs" Champion :hail
Our first month saw 46 brave members match wits with the oddsmakers. Most of us ended up like sick pups with our tails between our legs
as man's (supposedly) best friend roamed the land in search of some bitch in heat paying no attention to their master's intentions. After a month of frustration and threats to have the hounds turned over in favor of the felines and obedience classes on the weekends, the mutts have howled (as close as you can get to a promise in doggy talk) to show their owners more respect. :SIB
I'm thinking about a few changes along with many of the same for the new month. Thoughts and input appreciated......
* Lines will be set up in the morning (from WL, as they are the easiest to do stats off of) They use an 8 cent line so some of the games won't have a "true dog." In this circumstance you may take the lower line for the doggy play. If both are the same you may play either. (this morning there were two lines set @-104) I used Millenium and BetonSports for alot of my doggy plays and they were WAY OFF on many of the other lines. In fairness to all players I prefer set lines for the new month. I think everyone would prefer playing on a level playing field
* Using the closing line at WL is another option as lines do change during the day. Thoughts......
* I really like playing with up to three dogs/day. Doggies are hard enough to win with and being able to play more than one a day helps compensate for those heartbreakers. It also doesn't hurt as much to only go down 100 points per pop :com:
* A "Pick of the Litter" *POL* may be used once a week. This play is for three units and is so sweet when a big doggy barks :SIB (I don't think jyapur has any objections here
) POL's should be designated on your play as *POL* (you may also play two other doggies on that same card) The POL's for June will run from Thursdays (June 1) thru Wednesdays for June.
Looking forward to thoughts, comments, changes, etc. :mj06:
