I'm sure you have so much insight on this topic?

When did you become a Dr., a Neurologist, a Pysch. to understand the pain that anyone goes thru that leads to personal homocide?

Study: Suicide rates among army soldiers up 80 percent

CBS News) - A report published in Injury Prevention shows that suicide rates among U.S. Army personnel increased 80 percent between 2004 and 2008. Out of the 255 soldiers who had committed suicide between 2007 to 2008, 17 percent of the soldiers had previously been diagnosed with a mental health problem. Fifty percent had visited a health professional for a mental issue.<!--pagebreak-->
Study: Veterans with PTSD are more likely to get addictive pain med prescriptions
For some vets, the Iraq war will never end

"While suicide remains a relatively rare event, the results of this study suggest it is increasing at an unprecedented rate and, unlike any other time in history, U.S. military suicide rates now appear to have surpassed those among comparable civilian populations," Dr. Simon Rego, a supervising psychologist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, told HealthDay. "It is therefore critical that we address this emerging public-health problem."

Seau death: Latest in string of similar deaths of ex-NFL players?

Reading books and studying the brain can only give you insight but unless a Dr goes through it themself, how can they ever know what it actually feels like?

And what does a 4 year old Army study in a 4 year window have to do with anything? 17% were diagnosed with a previous mental condition....well duh...if you are going down that route you're clearly depressed whether you go to a psych to be clinically diagnosed or not.

Where it is real F ing COLD

RIP Seau

I don't necessarily disagree with this at times.. Someone very close to me committed suicide when I was ten years old, back as a kid you don't think about how it happened, you think of it as a teribble loss. As you get older you start to have a roller coaster of emotions. Swaying from Sadness, to anger, to forgiveness, back to sadness, to anger, to forgiveness. It never fucking ends and it will never end, Many many times I have thought, "What a selfish fucker?" then at times I forgive. The pain never ends, it goes away but it comes back at some point. I think it's because you remember a person to be one way and you are just in shock that it happened. Plus there is never any closure cause in this case you never know why. Why is the question that will haunt me the rest of my life

Suicide: The pain of living is worst than the pain of dying.

A permanent solution for a temporary problem in many cases.

Maybe they should check out what medication these guys are taking as well as the concussion factor.

No there is no time to actually think things through.

Its better to just call him a selfish prick.

The concussion factor is going to be huge in this again I bet.

I do feel for his family, I just wish Junior would have let someone help him out.

He did text his family the day before that he loved him and left a note saying he wanted his brain studied.

Junior Seau Played Through Concussions, Says Ex-Wife

by Andrew Sharp

As the world processes the news of Junior Seau's sudden suicide this week, many have asked whether there's any connection to concussions suffered his twenty year football career. For now, the answer is complicated.

On one hand, ESPN's Adam Schefter noted on Wednesday that Seau was never once listed on an NFL injury report with a concussion. But he also said, "It doesn't mean he didn't have any." It will be weeks and possibly months before we know for sure whether Seau's brain had changed thanks to football, but as for the concussion question, Thursday brought another wrinkle.

ESPN asked Seau's ex-wife, Gina, if he'd ever played through concussions. Her response: "Of course he had. He always bounced back and kept on playing. He's a warrior. That didn't stop him. I don't know what football player hasn't. It's not ballet. It's part of the game."

So, while that's not definitive proof, it sure sounds like Seau may have played through more pain than we knew. And as we learn more about what role (if any) those concussions played in bringing Seau toward suicide, "it's part of the game" could become a lot more complicated

you are one ignorant clown! If there is one thing Junior isn't it selfish. You have any idea how many decades of endless charity work he has done for hundreds of people. There isn't anyone in the community he lives in, nor a player he played with that have ever had as bad word to say about the man.

You know anything about Alzheimer's, and what it's like living with it? You know anything about Lou Gehrig's disease? What that's like? You should educate yourself a little before you let the shiT pour out of your mouth.
