I think we must all remeber we just never appeared in the countries we live in. My origins being Irish, I would tend to think that Kick probably English, Polish or some other part of Europe. I spent about 5 summers in Burlington when I was a kid. You, I don't know becaue your local is a Park Bench. My point is that immigration to our Counties is what makes them great. Many different people give differnt and and positive ways to improve or society and governence. Yes Canada has universal health care, which is being strained. Regadless of your ability to pay you receive the same service, (although many private clinics are now in operation and you can get service faster). The US has a far better taxation system. The middle class in Canada are constantly paying with no relief. That being said I do love were I live and you love your Country. We all must remember that "Governments come and Go", people stay. I don't thnk anyone is saying the Country is bad I just think they have differing opinions on how this war is being waged. That is not bad as war is a very scary thing.

well....guess what....i HAVE spent half of my growing and impressionable years there....not to mention travelling and visiting several other countries.... so i DO know what it is i speak of when i talk about americans and the US and those places that i have visited....hell....my two brothers AND my mom are all americans for chrissakes....*L*

and these numbers that you speak of that were taken from the almanac....well....shouldn't you also preface it by taking into account the entire population of said countries....i mean....in comparison....our poplulation base pales in comparison to yours....the population in the states of NY, MASS, PENN and the entire eastern border would probably amount to more than all the people in Canada as a whole....BUT....if you were to equate the number of immigrants and illegals in both countries in relative terms....you would find that it is nearly equal!!!

now....i'm NOT saying that there aren't those that would prefer moving to the US....BUT....stating that this would be EVERYONE's preference is somewhat callous and pretty retarded!!!

now....there are several reasons why one would choose your country....equally....there are just as many reasons one would choose canada, australia, finland, sweden and yes, even france!!!

sheesh....i can't even count how many americans who i've encountered that know absolutely NOTHING about canada....let alone another country outside of this continent....completely uninformed and ignorant....it's quite pathetic!!!
