has anyone else thought that bret farve is continuing to play to add to his passing totals so that peyton manning won't be able to catch him? i hear alot of retired sports stars say if they thought their record could be broken they would have played a few more years so they could have the alltime record in many sports..?????????:0008

I think it could be that and possibly the fact that he loves the game..... He has to draw the line somewhere...

I think it will be a moot point by the time it is all said and done. The pace Peyton is on is incredible and with the lack of hits and his high football IQ, he should be able to play as long as Favre if he so chooses...

He came within a whisker of being in the Super bowl last year. If Minnesota had a better QB option they would pursue it. I think he's still one of the top 10 QBs in the league. Why shouldn't he play?

I totally agree, except I think it is definitely in the top 5... I think he at least has another two good years left in those old muscles....
