Are Schools Asking to Drug Kids for Better Test Scores?

In the past two decades, the number of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder has nearly doubled. One in five American boys receives a diagnosis by age 17. More than 70% of those who are diagnosed?millions of children?are prescribed drugs but, with added risks. They say that kids focus better at school while taking these drugs. What do you think?

On the course!
I think kids want to run, skip, yell, and play.

They always have.

I think "big people" have learned to not like/accept this behavior from children over the last few decades and decided to give it a medical diagnosis so they can try to stop it.

When my daughter was much younger, in second grade, the school had an Easter egg hunt. They all got little baskets with that grass stuff, confetti, chocolate eggs etc. Kristyn gathered the most eggs along with another girl. So those two were given some prize or whatnot. Kristyn asked me if she could throw her confetti up in the air over her head and have it rain down on her like in a parade. I said sure. She was promptly suspended. I was livid. She never stepped foot in St. Emily again. Schools don't tolerate kid being kids anymore.

I am shocked they didn't give equal amount of eggs to each kid and participation medals for all the kids, my daughter got the most eggs at a hunt and they made her give her eggs to others until they all had the same

I agree kids need to just be kids
