Vegas baby!
i dont support saddam...he is a ruthless a-hole. the point i was trying to make here is why did we decide he was the biggest threat? what about the many other more immediate threats out there? from what i understand, N. Korea, Venezuela, and Burma are in much more tenuous situations.

the real reasons for this attack will come out soon enough...

interesting recent development:

Halliburton Inc., the company that gave Dick Cheney 10's of millions of dollars in a severence package shortly before he accepted the nomination, was just given the contract to clean up and maintain the Iraqi oil wells when this is over.

There are only one or two companies in the US that are even capable of doing it.

You help your friends dont you ? its called business. you get me elected and give me cash, when I can help you back then it happens. isn't that the American way ?

you are reaching big.

Does the Haliburton deal make you raise an eyebrow? Sure it does. but after reading up on them they are the best in their field at what they do. Someone has to put out those oil fires and restore the wells.

Don't They

What would it matter, if Bush chose North Korea then people like you would ask why not Iraq first. With people like you Bush could not win in any event. Face it he made the right choice, and thank you for defending the chemical plant, please re-post that in the thread that someone asked what the ignore feature on this site was good for.

Truth of the matter guys. Iraq was not even there as Iraq till after WW I. Then some country call England drew some lines in the sand and Iraq was born as well as Kuwait. Before WWI and upto about 1950 these differant tribes killed each other off by the 10's of thousands. Along comes this guy Saddam in about 1978 and takes over power. This guy has the blessing of USA, England and many more. He holds the place togeather. But has to do it the old fashion way killing off some more folks. He didn't see any reason to do it any differant then what was done in the past.
Does it make it right that he has these weapons. Well no one gave a chit till 1991. What he didn't seem to understand. They do now. So the fighting between the tribes may start again. This could keep our military very busy. I asked above any update on what chemicals were found. Only report I saw yesterday on CNN possiable mustar gas. Do we know anymore. I have seen no follow up on FOX or CNN.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--U.S. officials said Monday that no chemical weapons were found at a suspected site at Najaf in central Iraq, U.S. television networks reported.

NBC News reported from the Pentagon that no chemicals at all were found at the site. CNN, also reporting from the Pentagon, said officials now believe the plant there was abandoned long ago by the Iraqis.

These stories change like the wind storms over there. Now they tell us there wrong about the scuds. There some frog ,missles that are not baned. And some of the shorter ranged version of the ones they found a month ago. There sure trying to make it look good to strat with. Then they have to come back and change there stories. Guys I think it will take till we have better control of the place. Then we can send teams out and guard what we find before letting others have it. And just incase I would have a little something in a truck that if needed we can just find in some building. I know that some whould say that's not fair. But all is not fair in war I was taught a long time ago.

S-love,

my country is fighting alongside yours right now (oztralia), just happen to live in Canada now.

Gibber, there is little doubt that a chemical factory surrounded by razor wire in a military compound is a military facility. If the US is fighting because Iraq once made chemical weapons, then I guess this proves it. The problem is everyone knows and acknowledges that Irag once did this. the question is whether they have done so lately The finding of a long disused facility like this is now reported to be, is a long way from justification for this war.

How many people do you think are going to die as a result of this war? Iraqi casualties must be in the thousands or even tens of thousands by now. A lot of these poor bastards are conscripts, and believe they are defending their homeland from a foreign invader.

If chemical and biological weapons are found by US forces, I'll admit that the war was necessary. A hell of a lot of people are being killed right now because of the suspicion of non-compliance.

War is truly hell, and the risks associated with this war are very grave for the entire western world. I certainly hope Saddam is already dead, and this war ends soon...

Venezulea? Burma? Threats to the security of the United States? How about Camaroon? Why not the Vatican? I hear they have a lot of money and the Pope is against the war.
