Whether or not Scott bet the 20k really is irrelevant. What is relevant is that he filled up pages after pages of misguided garbage about USC's gameplan and Texas's ineptness (I particularly enjoyed the "Has Texas ever seen a cornerback blitz?" line - I think they saw USC flailing away with that trash on the last drive). Rereading those posts is just one laugh after another. His posts have such an arrogant condescending tone that this kind of response was bound to happen.
Let's face it, Scott happened to catch a run of his favorite team covering nearly every game and winning 2 and almost three national championships. He made money following his heart. There is nothing wrong with that.
The remainder of his plays are rank garbage. Lakers -600 over Pistons. Spurs chalk to win the title (I don't care if they won). Louisville -3 TDs over South Florida. NC over USC. The list goes on. It's square chalk bs. I've been doing this for 15 years (and have many friends on the other side of the window) and can guarantee you this style of play will lead you nowhere but the poor house. I don't care if Scotty wins or loses trying it, but there are others here that regard him as some kind of super handicapper, and nothing could be farther from reality.

Really glad to see you get most of your money back, hate to see anyone lose that kind of money. Helluva run for USC though. Congrats to all Texas fans!
