Just made an apple galette

No recipe I just used 2 honey crisp apples some sugar, cinammon, about a Tbl spoon of flour and a pinch of salt.

Rolled out a basic pie dough, put apple mixture in the middle and dotted with butter. Fold up the sides of the dough and bake at 375 for about 40 mins.

Sounds great. Honey crisp apples are the best! My dad LOVES apple dumplings, but he would probably like that too. Did you think the galette needed sauce?

We will be canning 3 bushels of apples this weekend (applesauce)... may sneak a few out for this dessert!

I didn't add sauce but I'm sure you could.

This was just a rustic thing I threw together.

I didn't measure anything and it came out great. I've done it a few times and no complaints.

The only thing I measured was the basic pie crust recipe.

I use the Betty Crocker recipe from a book that about 50 yrs old.
