So Cal
Hogman ,
Manning wasn't playing in the NFL in 1995... BOZO

Its very tough not to take the Pats-1 ,2 ,or2.5

If i didn't lose my ass with the chargers I would smash this hard.

With you on the pats GM. Totally agree with you on the fact that they are the most professional team with a great coach, and come prepared to play every week. Like you said, they don't have any standout aspects in there game, however, do everything very solid. It's hard to bet against a team like Indy that has been as hot as it has but travelling to foxboro to face their nemesis team is going to be tough. I think this game is close for most of the day and that manning will have a decent day, but an experienced pats team that has every chance of a superbowl repeat gets it done here. Getting this line under could be huge as it would be no surpirse to see viniteri (sp?) come in late to edge the pats to a 3 point 'W'. Riding this one out with you GM in what should be a great game of football.

Didn't Ty Law miss the last 8 games of the regular season? How does that suddenly become a factor? They've been playing without him for two months!

Yes they have been playing without him for the last 8 games but they haven't faced the Colts offense in either of those games. The Colts outplayed the pats back in week one but turned the ball over too many times to get the "W". I feel IF the weather is decent (not rain and 30 mph winds) the Colts will knock the Pats out and advance to the Championship round for one of my bigger wagers of the season.

Colts will be a fav by gametime. This is a strange one.

Wow - you really think so? I know the line is moving in favor of the colts but IMO cannot see the Pats at home getting points...even if it is only 1 or 2.

Good luck everyone!

FIRST AND FOREMOST AS A PATS FAN AND BOSTONIAN IM OBVIOUSLY PARTIAL TO THE HOME TEAM HERE...BUT FROM A PURE GAMBLING PERSPECTIVE AT THIS JUNCTURE ILL LEANING TOWRADS INDY ON THE MONEYLINE...

PATS SECONDARY HAS BEEN PLAYING WITH SMOKE AND MIRRORS FOR WAY TO LONG ...IF YOU WATCHED THE CINCY GAME ..THAT OFFENSE SIMPLY MOVED THE BALL AT WILL AGAINST THIS DEFENSE AND EXPOSED THE PATRIOT DEFENSIVE WEAKNESS..SIMPLY THE PASS DEFENSE. THE COLTS WILL THROW THE BALL AGAINST THIS PATTCHWORK SECONDARY ALL DAY AND EXPOSE THE CORNERS. THE FIRST GAME THEY PLAYED THIS YEAR IN WEEK ONE THE COLTS SHOULD HAVE WON. THEY TURNED THE BALL OVER IN THE REDZONE AT LEAST TWO TIMES THAT I CAN REMEMBER AND WERE STILL UP AT THE HALF 17-13 I BELIEVE...WHAT IS EVEN MORE TROUBLING IS THAT INDY RUSHED THE BALL FOR OVER 200 YARDS AGAINST THIS DEFENSE AND THAT WAS WITH SEYMOUR AT 100%.

SEYMOUR IS QUESTIONABLE FOR THIS GAME AND WITHOUT HIM ATTRACTING THE DOUBLE TEAM I DONT SEE MUCH PRESSSURE ON MANNING WHICH SPELLS DISASTER.

ALL THAT BEING SAID ..THE PATS CLEARLY HAVE THE ADVANTAGE WITH COACHING AND ON OFFENSE. I EXPECT NEW ENGLAND TO USE DILLON AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO KEEP THAT COLT OFFENSE OFF THE FIELD..THIS GAME SIMPLY COMES DOWN TO WHETHER THE PATS DEFENSE CAN MAINTAIN THE COLT OFFENSE ...PAST HISTORY WOULD SAY YES, AND IM SURE THE NE COACHING STAFF WILL COME UP WITH A FEW WRINKLES AND SCHEMES THAT WILL CATCH MANNING OFF GUARD BUT IN THE END I THINK THIS IS THE COLTS YEAR TO FINALLY GET OVER THIS HUMP...AND LETS NOT FORGET THAT DESPITE AN ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE BY MANNING LAST YEAR (LAW HAD MUTLIPLE PICKS BY THE WAY) THE COLTS STILL HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO TIE THAT GAME IN THE FOURTH QUARTER.

SO AGAIN AT THIS POINT IM LEANING TOWARDS INDY EVEN THOUGH MY HEART IS WITH THE PATS...BUT ILL WAIT TO SEE LATER IN THE WEEK WHAT TYPE OF LINE MOVES TAKE PLACE AND IF AN OVERWHLEMING MAJORITY IS ON INDY...

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE

What scares me is the fact last year the playoff line was I believe 6. Everyone here locally seemed to be pounding Indy, except for a few of us. The first game this year the line was 3 or 3.5, and now 2.5 just right under the magic field goal number. Why not just make the line 3? The same thing when a line is 6.5, make it 7. Almost like they are asking you to take the favorite, you know...just under a field goal or TD. Look at SD and GB, line 6.5 and here locally everyone was betting them...teasing them and so on. Without the LAW, it might be Indy's year to pull this one out, even though Manning is 2-9 against the Pats. Good luck.

Good Luck with this one GM, as a Steeler fan I would love another shot at the Patriots in the AFC championship game at Heinz field. Unfortunatly the reason I want to see the Patriots is because I don't think anyone wants any part of Indy right about now, you just know your gonna need 30 points even if your defense plays well.
Like I said good luck with it.

Law is out. Seymour is hobbled. We've all heard. The Colts will certainly score some points......but what I find most interesting about this game is the fact that NO ONE is talking about the 29th ranked Indi defense. Why has this gotten lost in the shuffle? Because everyone gets blinded by the Manning hype machine.

The only thing that scares me about betting the Pats in this game is that Good Ole Peyton in a Super Bowl is the NFL's wet dream. Imagine all the air time they could give the League's "first family" in the two weeks prior to the SB!!! Wouldn't shock me to see a half dozen PI and illegal contact calls against the Pats in this one.

no one talks about the Patriots offense. They are healthy, have lots of speed and have had 2 weeks to prepare. I see both teams putting up a lot of offense but the home field and a better red zone defense will catapult the Pats - something like 34-31

Lot of talk on ESPN radio overnight about how Bill may lose BOTH :scared his coaches this year. One has a gig lined up and the other is interviewing. This this may be the last run for this current team of players and coaches. Regardless of what Manning does on the REAL stuff, a team with the defensive holes that this one has is going to be in a world of sh*t against this coaching staff. A staff that has dealt well with the loss of many a talented player and injury over the last few seasons. I also got a feeling the Pats haven't missed the reports of their future demise. Guess they will just lay down for the opening of the new Manning era. Brady's chances for mistakes will be minimalized while he is handing off the ball. Indy coming off two one sided games against a team composed of lame players and a dense coach may not have been the best prep for what they will see this weekend.

yeah nfl wanted panthers instead of McNabb last year too ;)

Maybe they did. Why don't you add up the number of black QB's that have played in a Super Bowl for me.

watch the weather...supposed to be real cold here in the 'burgh heading that way. High here for Saturday of 14 and low of 2, factor in wind chill to - degrees for game. Have to imagine for the late game on Sunday in New England, it will be just as cold.

What are you implying CWood?

What are you implying CWood?

I really hope that you aren't saying the NFL is plotting against black qbs. That is the dumbest thing I've EVER heard.
