I hope so. OU is not the best team in the nation, and not the 2nd best team either. USC and LSU are and both are playing the best football "now". OU had their chance if they won, and they are not just losing but getting BLOWN OUT! USC and LSU both did what they needed to do today and both should be rewarded. Teams should get penalized for losing late because this is the time of year where your suppose to be playing your best football. Losing 35-7 in the 4th quarter is not playing good football.

Too bad for tonight, i wanted to unload on USC +11.5 over OU. Hopefully USC is -3 or less against LSU.

the idea of when you lose matter ing is absurd to me. You have 3 teams with one loss. You should look at the full season. To me that means OU plays USC. Hell, by your analysis can we ignore 2 Texas losses since, after all, they were 2 months ago, and they have been dominant. Heck we even beat KState, who lost I checked beat Cal by quite abit. How did USC do against Cal?

It will be LSU Oklahoma unless for some reason Oklahoma drops below # 3 in the polls.

Doesn't this all prove what a pathetic system this is. Only sport in college not to decide things on the field. What a joke.

The reason he makes that point is he thinks thats the best reason they have.

It dont matter when you lose. You got to look at the whole season.

He is afraid to play Oklahoma. Okl will be pissed.

USC kills LSu. and thats what Scott4USC wants.

Its a simple homer thing he has going.

I think USC did lose to Cal in overtime. But it was a late overtime.

Ok, then I guess you would be happy sending a 1 loss OU team who just lost 35-7 to the NC and leaving out USC or LSU who are both playing great football. ummmmm, makes sense to me. Reward a team who just got BLOWN OUT and give them a chance to win NC and leave out USC or LSU.

Did you ever think teams can get better as the season goes on? I am not believer in rewarding a team who gets worse as the season goes on. OU, USC, LSU all have 1 loss, and 2 have to be chosen to play for NC. According to you, you want to send the team who "just" got blown out vs 2 other teams who are playing great football.

LSU cannot pass USC unless the polls vote LSU ahead of USC. I do not see that happening.

I can say with a straight face that Texas or Michigan could beat LSU or USC right now. What difference does it make - they have 2 losses - isnt that what you would say? Then the season matters doesnt it?

The best thing would be to leave out USC.

Let OKl and LSU play in the National Championship game.

Thats the best thing to do.

Texas or Michigan would have a " small chance" to beat USC but I highly doubt they would. I already know Vegas would have USC at least a TD favorite over either team.

i dont believe ST ever debated that.

has nothing to do with whether or not they could beat usc

ive said it before and ill say it again

okie the best team hands down

usc in their "general class"

lsu/michigan/texas 3rd/4th/5th and all capable of beating one another or usc -- but not okie in a bowl

In hoops maybe..... but just because Navarre got the monkey off his back against OhSt doesn't mean he isn't an overrated loser.

I think it should be LSU and USC, Okie got taken to the woodshed tonight. I thought they were one of greatest teams ever and even if they had lost by 10 I would of said put Okl in the Sugar bowl, but 28, and could have EASILY been 38 if Snyder would of REALLY wanted to run it up. Late field goal with 5 minutes left and then with under 2:00 left could have run another TD in. I hate to say it but no team that can't win their own conference should play for national championship. I live in Nebraska and anyone remember that debacle a few years ago when the Huskers got in to play Miami? What a joke that was. Todays games should be seen as a small, scaled dwon version of the playoff's everyone seems to be screaming for. Some of the best playing the best. Did Tenn get to play in last years super bowl even though they lost to the Raiders? So yes it should matter when a team loses. I am a KC Chiefs fan too and if the Chiefs win out and go 15-1 but lose in a playoff game, do they get the polls to help them out and still have a chance to play in the Super Bowl because they have a better record than anyone else in the NFL? Heck no!! They lost at the wrong time and are done, end of story. Oklahoma couldn't win the big game when they had too and should be penalized for it. Furthermore I would vote LSU #1 just because they beat a tough Ga team twice, and it is ard to beat any team twice in the same year, much less spank them good in the second game. LSU is beating everyone down now, when it counts, and I will be looking hard at them in the championship game.

My take,

Brad
