First of all - a sincere appreciation to the soldiers, past and present, who put their lives on the line for the sake of our country. I can't even express enough gratitude to others, like myself, who woke up one morning and recieved a "Greetings" letter from Uncle Sam. And words cannot express the gratitude to those, unlike myself, who got one of those letters that "invited" yound men to join the battles of the War of Wars way back in he early 40s, a war that required the utmost bravery, courage, and patriotism of any war in recent history. Today is the day to TRY to put yourself in their shoes to get an inkling of what that was all about.

A quick look at today's card looks like "$$$$", full fields and plenty of potential mega-bombrrs :)

But, by the time I got done doing some serious handicapping, Memorial Day looks more like Losing Day at the track. Very rare, but the highest rated horse for each of the first 3 playable races are the M.L. favorites in what appears to be a race that should provide a NICE payoff based on the entries, race conditions, and field sizes. Didn't work on the the 4th playable race yet for today, race no. 9, but it's a turf race with a field of 12 and thems are NOT my cup of tea.

There was a system I used at N.Y. tracks (ESP. the BIG A) for situations like this, but I don't trust it at Philly cause it take big bets and it's pretty risky. Fact is that IT DID WORK most of the time in N.Y. that is .

I got the time today to be a WATCHER and think that's the thing to do, but for all the hits I get in this forum-> the top rated horse, by a decent margin too, is the M.L. favorite in races 3,7,8 and big time risk takers :)nono:) should look for a pricey exacta or even a trifecta in the 9th. You know, like the folks who go heavy in them Breeders Cup races and go home with their tail between their legs.

BTW, I'm on no. 3 in this upcomming 3rd race.

G.L. and have a Happy Holday today.

Can you believe this SHEEEET?

Can you believe this SHEEEET?

This is what has CONTINUALLY been happening WAY TOO OFTEN lately. Watch the reply and you'll see the no. 3 (6/1) leading all the way and looking good, looks like the wiener about 3 or 4 STRIDES to the wire, realizes that I GOT it boxed in the zackta with the 2 others that are breathng down it's throat, and what happens... the bastage finishes 3rd.

Time and time again, Sheesh!

9th race

9th race

At least the plick ain't the favorite for this race and I do like it's chances.... No. 6 is the play. Prob. across, but certainly a wild stab with some "MAGIC" - - a 2<-->6 zackta box. You know what gonna happen with my no. 2, right? I'd try to post any L@@KERs but there really ain't any interest and I gotta git the Barbecue going. :)

You betcha. That 50 to 1 shot ledem to about 1/8th of the way the down the Blvd. of Broken Dreams.

Wrong about a potential price in this race, but that no. 2 did last for 4th to make the Zuppa pay alright. I got a horse to watch for after seeing this race.. put HOBO RIDGE on yer "Philly dirt bags to watch for:" list.

Enjoy the rest of your day; hmm... . something smells awfully good around this place :0067
