The Bad Boyz from Detroit roll into Atlanta tonight to take on the Hawks whom they beat by a score of 117-89 the last time they met in Atlanta on January 18th. At that time, Detroit had lost only five games on the season and the game against Atlanta was their fifth win in what would turn out to be an eleven game winning streak. Pretty freaking impressive but the problem is that since New Jersey put an end to that streak a week ago, the Pistons have gone 2-2 in those four games, losing also to Indiana in their last outing on Saturday.
In the nine games Atlanta has played since the 28 point beatdown by Detroit three weeks ago, the Hawks have scored an average of over 101 points in those nine games and are averaging over 104 points per game on their own court. Sure they are allowing 100.9 points in home games on the season but Detroit is averaging only 93.9 on the road and the Pistons have looked like a tired team lately as evidenced by the 89.6 points that they have averaged over their last five games. I will gladly take the generous points all the way to the bank.
