Eli Manning got spooked in this game. I think the pressure of having his Dad and brother watching, the Heisman mention, and the whole home atmosphere got to him early.
My wife came down a few times and told me to stop yelling. She went back upstairs and I flipped her off when she got out of sight.
I knew that Miss did not have a good defense but damn LSU was running through the Rebels like there was no tommorrow. I almost went into cardiac arrest a few times.
And then LSU QB Mauch who I have never heard was much of a scrambler, he steps up into the pocket and runs for 10 yards or so several times ! The Rebs catch him finally.
Damn I almost hit the cat when I threw the remote
against the wall.
But the bottom line is Eli had his worst football day of his life and still managed to cover the game for us.
I know Eli has my vote for the Heisman Trophy !
