I couldn?t give a rats ass that she spoke in a French accent to French people. I mean, couldn?t affect me any less and I don?t think it?s a big deal at all. The whole appropriation thing makes me laugh 99% of the time.

Uhhhh I'm not independent. I'm a registered Republican who voted both democrat and republican in presidential elections, congressional elections and gubernatorial elections. By any definition I'm a moderate Republican, But I call out both sides so conservatives conservatives often refer to me as liberal and liberals often refer to me as conservative. Left leaning on drugs and gay rights, pro choice, pro (common sense) gun control, and i am for increase of corporate tax rate or at least a minimum corporate income tax. Right leaning on taxation for the most part, though.

What I dont like about the Republican party is they have strayed from their allegiance to a smaller government (although still not in the league of democrats in this regard) and their alliance with religion. I don't feel that religion should come into play when writing legislation. Christian backed legislation against gay rights and against abortion and previously stem cell research is maddening.

What I dont like about the democratic party besides their desire to grow government, is the bullshit racial disharmony narrative and the overreaction to climate change. The former is a tool used to control a large swath of the dem base. Leftist Media helps with this narrative by highlighting supposedly racially insensitive gaffes on the right and ignoring same to members of their team, which is specifically what this post is about.

In terms of climate change, I give the benefit of the doubt that it is a misguided concern and not a manipulative tactic. Yes, we have to move towards alternative sources. But , at this point we need to continue to rely on fossil fuels While superfunding development of alternatives. Drilling moratoriums, cutting production, becoming less energy independent in general hurts us short and long term.

What is the independent? Not sure I follow what you're even talking about. Possibly you misunderstood my post.

The lead up to my post was watching a video on Twitter of Harris Using a French accent when talking with some French people. I immediately thought to Google the incident to determine if both sides covered it knowing, or at least expecting, that the conservative outlets would report it and the leftist outlets would not.

I don't think that what kamala Harris did is newsworthy at all. But, our media is all skewed left or right, and each side beholden to their party. As such, the major right leaning outlets reported reported this as an ethnically insensitive gaffe, which they rarely do. Meanwhile, the left leaning outlets, which normally have a field day on this type of appropriation, have not mentioned it at all since Kamala is the "culprit". I feel this helps my order it helps my argument that progressives progressives use is cultural, ethnic and racial disharmony as a weapon. It's very obvious that this would have been a major deal across all outlets had any conservative done it, especially trump.

No, I don?t see anything wrong with my logic. I think appropriation is BS and this is not newsworthy. Pepe le pew cancellation was stupid. However, send up a Republican vice president and have him talk in a French accent. See what happens then. If you?re denying that story would see coverage on huff post/cnn/etc, then you are lying to yourself
