stein vs. wright

stein has been alternating between starter and reliever all season, his last 2 as a starter, with decent showings, going 5 innings for 2 runs and 7 innings for 0 runs, setting this game up real nice. his last 4 era is around 2, quite a differce from his yearly era of 5.47.

wright's last 4 show an era around 6, and that in itself makes this game a must take at +140, with an era differential of 4 in favor of stein, and a best bet.

k.c. +140 **

Pepin,
actually I was leaning towards Milw - given their record in day games, a sellout father's day crowd, and losing the doubleheader yesterday.... Stein should be the kind the brewers light up - but I thought that of Byrd yesterday......so I guess after all this, I am going to lay off this one, as I can make (or you did for me) a case for both sides...

All of the sudden the K.C. pitches are looking like cy young award winners.I think the brewers are the much better team, but as of right now I would said no.I am not going to chase a loser laying odds.K.C. 5 IN A ROW.
Milwaukee 2 in row loser.

FWIW - I did end up pulling the trigger on Milw RL - just feel strongly of a Brewer blowout win...

Plays:

Cubs -132, 1 unit
Brewers -1', +130, 1 unit
D-Backs -1', -130, 1 unit

well, i just found out about that double loss yesterday, but don't see how that changes today's pitcher's records. when you gotta go, you gotta go.
