Kansas City Chiefs team total 33

Can anyone here tell me why this isn't a good bet to go over. I don't like to bet much on holiday games simply because of the lack of games to choose from, but this game has had me since the total was posted. The Chiefs have scored 31, 34, 49, and 45 points the past 4 games.


First, the Chiefs hate the Raiders, and what better Xmas present to give your fans on Xmas day than an arse whooping of a hated rival that has a very suspect defense.

Larry Johnson has been looking sharp the past 2 games, and Trent Green very well could find Eddie Kennison another 2 times in the endzone to make it 3 games in a row.

I don't care if they are out of the playoffs, IMO, this Chiefs offense has a lot of pride and know that in order to win they HAVE TO score.

Olympic has the total set at 33 (-115). The max wager is $575/500 unless the moneyline or total changes. If either does, I am thinking about hitting it again to win $1,000.

Any thoughts pro/con this total would be appreciated.

I like the Play, I have the Over in the Game. Have to believe these Teams want to Win, so that means nither one will lay down. Oak will score which will keep Green throwing and Johnson running. This total should hit by Late third.

Steve, sounds crazy but I rely on fantasy to help my capping sometimes....more insight into matchups for me i guess.

I find myself wanting to grab this game everytime Olympic adjusts the line but am trying to be sensible about it too. Agree with your point about neither team wanting to lose and not laying down to the other. That's why I'm not interested in the spread at all. The first meeting of the year was 34-27 KC.

Too bad the Bills play the 49ers today because I really actually believe all of the 8-6 teams could have realistically finished 8-8......

You bring up a 2nd point of interest for me: the Bills and 49ers. This will be my 2nd team total play of the weekend as the total for the Bills is 27. They have been covering their TT like mad the past several weeks and this week should be no different. Will have to check out the status of Mcgahee, but it too looks solid.

The total has now moved at Olympic, but not like I thought. Just jumped from 33 to 34.5 still at -115. Odd IMO, but still justifiable as I have the Chiefs scoring 35+.

Grabbing it again...here's what I have:

KC O 33 (575/500)
KC O 34.5 (575/500)

That 1.5 jump is crazy as I've been checking back for any movement at all showing no signs of life for over an hour now
