Been frustrated with the front office for years. I feel they don't make much of an effort to improve the team when you have 78,000 plus season ticket holders and a waiting list of up to 5,000 plus.
Sure not a fan of Carl Peterson, the idiot who has botched more deals than any other team that is supposed to contend.
I'd like to come back here in 3 months with egg on my face, but looks like they are actually trying to be a major contender this year, shopping the free agent market, big time!
The Chiefs actually resigned QB Trent Green The resigning demanded a new salary structure to stay under the salary cap, pretty much something new for the Chiefs. The Chiefs are notorious for not knowing what their doing in the quaterback market. "The future" never has entered their minsicule mind thinking.
We all know the Chef's are a pretty good offensive team since Vermeil's arrival, but the defense has suffered.
One other note, before I finish this rant. The Chiefs do not have a reputation of shopping the free agent market, when it pertains to quality, so called "prime atheletes".
Was shocked to see the Chiefs go after and sign a quality LB Shawn Barber, from the Eagles.
Sounds like they are still in the market to pick up another or two to shore up the defense.
Sure I'll be ridiculed for this statement, as I have been several times at Arrowhead: The defensive backfield was very, very young this year, and got burned multible times. Just feel they are a talented young group that matured fairly well throughout the year. They needed some linebacker support that often times failed. Defensive line failed at times too, but hearing that might be their next acquisition?
In conclusion, the Chiefs have drafted well in the last 3 years. taking Gonzalez, Tait and company..........
Just hope they step up to the plate and try and be a contender in a pretty tough division. The makings are their, have no idea if upper management will follow through.
Passing information!
