NC St 44 Kansas 41

Gang we have a high scoring game for Monday Night in Florida. 2 powerful offenses led by 2 of the best QB's in the Nation. Wolfpacks Phillip Rivers comes in hitting on 71% of his passes for over 400 yards, 29 TD's and just 9 INTS. As a starter the Wolfpack are 7-5. Whitemore is hot too. He is not 1 dimensional like Rivers as he can throw and scramble with the best of them. He comes in 7-2 as a starter passing for over 2100 yds with 16 TD's and just 4 Ints. When he starts the Jayhawks are average 37 ppg and 465 ypg. When he was injured the Jayhawks averaged just 15 ppg. He managed to return in their final game to lead Kansas over Iowa State 37-6.

Now the true difference in this game is the defenses. NC St comes in 2nd to last in the NCAA in pass defense. They would have had a much better season if the defense could have stopped some one. Whitemore will be able to pick this secondary apart all night. This secondary allowed 26 TD passes while picking just 9. Kansas on the other hand allows just 196 ypg in the air for just 13 TD's. It is their run defense that is suspect but State averages just 3.1 yards per carry thanks to injuries and troubles with the law to McLendon.

This will be an entertaining game from start to finish. Vegas is setting this one uo for the back door cover but we don't think we will need it. Kansas has Whitemore back and he keeps this game close to the final gun.

KANSAS gets the EASY Cover!

eddie agree with the pick, but as far as kansas def goes they are terrible. the reason their pass def totals were that low was the teams they played did not have to throw the ball because they were leading or they were run oriented teams. I think this offense will keep pace with nc like the points
