My father always told me that if you HAVE to fight then you better be ready to bring it right now. Don't pussy foot around and trash talk and say you swing first. Be the first to land a punch preferably the nose. I don't care how big you are if you land a hard blow to someones nose it will most likely break and everybody's eyes water somewhat blocking vision. AND make sure the other person will never want to mess with you again by that I mean give the other guy a couple extra punches so if he will most likely think twice. My father taught me to not start fights but said always finish one.
good luck T I don't think your kid has anything to worry about- I just think it is a senior messing with a soph. Hell in my little town the freshman and soph's had to carry the seniors pads and helmet to practice everyday.

I thought I would fill you all in..............shhhheeeesh what a long day! No one faught................ Aparently the head coach got word that some stuff was going on while they were on strike, he made an announcement over the loud speaker at school that all football players must report "immediatley" to the club house after school with nostops along the way. My son said when he got there the head coach was pissed................he was screaming and throwing trash cans and basicaly freakin out!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the whole team!!!!!!!because he heard some bull shit was going on. I am just glad that my son didn't have to throw down with this karate kid LOL I feel bad for the kid. on top of this day he had to face he got a detention in english class for laughing , when that happens to anyone on the team the whole football team has to run gasers. poor kid now the whole team is going to want to kick his azz tom. after they have to run!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL on a lighter note, as I was waiting for practice to end I was talking to this really nice women guess who's mom it was????I HAD NO IDEA UNTILL MY SON TOLD ME

The Bellmore-Merrick school board decided at a Wednesday night closed-door meeting to cancel all of the Mepham High School football team's games. The decision affects both the varsity and junior varsity squads. Their first game was to have been Saturday against H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square.
Thomas Caramore, the district's superintendent, was not immediately available for comment Thursday morning, but a receptionist in his office said, "The season is canceled."
Authorities are investigating accusations that players were sexually abused during a hazing rite while the team was at Camp.
Newsday reported that three varsity players allegedly sodomized three junior varsity players with a broomstick, pine cones and golf balls while other players watched. One of the students was injured so badly that he required surgery, the newspaper said.
The board found that "a significant majority" of the team's players violated the district's code of conduct "which requires that all students are expected to promptly report criminal, serious, or dangerous violations to school officials," according to a statement read by Charles Reinhardt, the president of the school board.
No arrests have been made, and prosecutors and school officials have not commented on the specifics of the allegations. "

That is sick scott jeezzzz my kid had to tolerate a certain bit of freshman crap nothing like that though THANK GOD I think all the boys do, but it was more on the fun side .................like the freshman knew not to use the bathrooms in the clubhouse during practice or they would lock them in there or they would switch everyones equipment around so when they went to suit up everything was mixed up between 60-75 ball players
life is good today the Lasalle game was postponed untill sunday and my kid is suiting up for varsity ,may not start but was told he's getting in.................as a sophmore playing varsity you can only be involved in 10 plays or you will be disqualified for the next JVarsity game :shrug:

I wasnt going to tell you this in mixed company but what the hey.
I was a freshman football player and the second or third practise of the year we dressed out where the senior guys were. In the same lockeroom.
So I come in and of course no one locked anything up it was a trust thing in those days. Well I go to put my jock strap on and it looked kinda orange colored. I didnt think much about it as it would not be unusual for it to get a little burnt in during gassers.
I also didnt notice the group of seniors standing around talking and laughing. Well I pull the jock strap on and the seniors had lined my jock with this product in the training room called Atomic Balm. Its is a heat treatment used for busted and sore muscles.
They didnt call it Atomic Balm for nothing. This stuff would take the hair off your legs.
So I am standing there with my jock pulled up nice and snug. Feeling pretty good that my package was going to be well protected.
Then I start to feel something burning in my crotch area. The seniors were laughing real good by then.
