SO MISS +15 Double Play L

On paper, this game might appear to be a mismatch, but several factors have me siding with So Miss. Strength of schedule definitely favors Fla St, but as we've seen this year Conf USA has been very competitive in Bowl games. This game is being played in Shreveport which is basically a home game for Southern Miss. FSU has 4 or 5 players sitting out and preparing for the NFL Draft. FSU has an interim coach for this game. Although So Miss has played a weaker schedule, they are still a respectable 33rd in the nation on offense and 17th in the nation on defense. And the kicker.....So Miss is getting 15 points!!

BOSTON COLLEGE +3 -130 Double Play

BC 8-0-1 vs the point spread in their last 9 games. BC has a very good running game averaging over 224 yards a game on the ground (26th in the nation), which gives them an advantage being that this game is played in New York City on a cold evening. Iowa has lost 5 straight Bowl games. Iowa has been outscored 120-47 in their last 3 Bowl games. In my mind, Boston College is the better team...but I'll buy up to +3 and take the points.

PURDUE +3
OVER 64

Plain and simple for me in this one.....Arizona's defense is outright terrible. They rank 88th in the nation vs the run, 122nd vs the pass, 105th in scoring defense and 117th in total defense. In Arizona's last 8 games they have given up 42, 48, 28, 49, 37, 44, 30, and 42 points. On the other hand, Arizona has scored 30, 28, 49, 35. 58, 45, 47, and 45 points. I think this will be a close, high scoring game. I'm taking the points and the over.
