Yeah GM....I'm happy with a winning night. I need to STOP playing baseball totals! The Pirates can't score 4 runs in that "cigar box" of a stadium in Cincinnati? Against that pitching staff? They get beat 4-3 and only have 3 hits.....all solo home runs!

Great work so far. Just wondering are you using a system of some sort, you don't have to tell me what it is? I just like to know if its a system or you just feel it. I thought Texas had them last night.

No system StevieD....like most people, I use several factors for making my selections. Starting pitchers, recent history, past history....I try to get a "feel" if you will, for a team....either good or bad. Are they playing well? Are they playing bad? I feel 80% of the MLB teams are pretty equal. 10% are really good and 10% are really bad. I TRY to stay away from the bad teams and hop on board of the good/hot teams, all depending on the line and the starting pitchers.

Texas last night was a tough loss. The reason I took Texas was because I really like Cole Hamels and wasn't too impressed with Houston's starter, but I wasn't smart enough to list pitchers. Texas has lost a lot of games this year in the late innings and I should be staying away from them, but last night I thought Hamels was worth a shot as a nice dog. He didn't pitch and although the Rangers almost won....well we all know what "almost" will get you!

Anyway...it's mostly a "feel" for the game, the line and the starting pitchers. For instance.....tonight's Miami/T Bay game was inviting. Tampa just beat them the last two nights @ Miami. in my mind, these two teams are equal....it wouldn't surprise me if Miami returned the favor and won both games in Tampa. The line is right (underdog) but I just don't trust the Miami starter tonight enough to make it a play. Throw in the fact that Tampa is 9-4 at home and it's no play for me...but you watch Miami win.

At any rate, best of luck to you the rest of the year!
