I can't remember the last time I was looking so forward to watching a basketball game as I am tonight!
Both of these teams deserve to be playing for the NC, that's for sure. Both of these teams are playing outstanding ball right now, that's also for sure. I think you could make a legitimate case for taking either team. But for me, I just can't get over the fact how Villanova has basically shut down EVERYONE they've played in the tourney. They just play GREAT defense. And their offense might be playing better than their defense! They have not only been beating their opponents, they have been overwhelming them....winning by an average of 24 points a game! Now, I know that average is inflated with their beat-down of Oklahoma, but when you can beat Iowa by 19, Miami, Fla by23, Kansas by 5 and Okla by 44....it just doesn't get much better than that!
Like I said, you can make a strong case for Carolina too, but I think Villanova has a very good chance of winning this game. Throw in the fact that they are getting points too. So my play is on....
