NFL Playoffs
4-3
Tough loss on the GB/Zona game. The wager came down to "luck," like many wagers do. You just have to hope to be on the right side of these type of games more often than not. Yesterday for me, wasn't one of those times. On to today's games.
CAROLINA - 2 Double Play W
OVER 42 1/2 Double Play W
Carolina has scored 27 points in 13 of their last 14 games. They have averaged 35 points in their last 7 games. Now, I know they are going up against a very good Seahawk defense, but they did score 27 points, with 25 first downs AT Seattle this year. I see both Quarterbacks moving the ball today with plenty of scoring opportunities. But the deciding factor for me is Carolina is playing at home (where they were 8-0 this year) the Panthers are a very impressive +20 in turnover margin this year which leads all playoff teams. I'm taking CAROLINA -2 and OVER 42 1/3 Double Plays.
PITTSBURGH + 7 1/2 W
Too bad for Pittsburgh that Antonio Brown is out. But time and time again in pro sports, we see the "next guy" step up. Not only that, but all the others seem to "come together" knowing they have to give just a little more, case in point....Green Bay last night. Green Bay's best receiver goes down and a couple of guys I've never heard of come in with great effort, including catching the "hail mary" touchdown as time expired! I hesitate taking the Steelers only because I'm not sure of big Ben's shoulder. But over the years he has shown a certain toughness over and over again. A month ago he torched the Bronco defense with 40-55 passing for 354 yards and 3 touchdowns! I'm on PITTSBURGH + 7 1/2.
Good luck today!
