Got the season started off right last night with a nice moneyline barkin' dog. Lookin' at another one tonight, along with some ACC chalk...
Record - 1-0 (+650)
FSU -9.5 $500
FSU -500 ML $1000
TCU +125 ML $800:scared :scared :scared
FSU/NCST
The Noles might be down this year, but they certainly found their form last week in dropping Rice. Weatherford is a capable QB and they have more talent at every position than N.C. State. The offense and play callin of Jeff Bowden has come under fire this season, but they probably have the guns to overcome it.
Not the FSU team that we've seen in the past, but they can still run like the wind on defense. NCST runs the ball well, but struggles through air. With a young quarterback facing a good defensive line and linebacking corps, I expect a lot of mistakes and a few turnovers from State.
FSU should cover the number easily, winning 27-7 or something along those lines.
TCU/Utah
TCU is on the road, but they're the better team here. Defense has carried the Toads, but let them down last week. I don't expect that to be the case tonight. They have an extra 2 days of rest given that they played on Thursday last week as well.
Utah, on the other hand, was manhandled by Boise State in a way that I haven't seen in a long time. They looked lost on both lines and their backs and receivers looked a step slow. I expect TCU to win in a close one, using defense to set the tone.
Simply put, I can't pass up this value having the better team and a + number on the moneyline.
Good luck if you're with me. Better luck next time if you're not!
