CUBS -149
This afternoon's game in Chicago, the Cubs definitely have a significant edge with the starting pitcher, but that is factored
in on the -149 money line. In my opinion, rarely does the starting pitchers factor into who wins or loses the games...especially
this year, so many of theses games seem to be decided in the later innings. But check this out...in their last 4 games,
the Mets have scored 2, 1, 0 and 0 runs. In contrast...in their last 4 games, the Cubs have scored 11, 10, 7. and 7 runs! That's
35 runs to 3 runs, or better than an 11-1 ratio in favor of the Cubs! Now, that probably doesn't mean squat, in reference to today's
game...because there are so many things that determine the outcome of a baseball game. But recent runs scored, either a lot or
hardly any...can certainly show how a team is playing and we have that great contrast in today's game.
Besides, the coin landed on heads...for the home team.
