IOWA +5 -125

So far this year, I've only played the Playoff games. All these other Bowl games...nah, I can't see wagering on the unknown. Although, after 45 years of betting on sports, sometimes the more you know, doesn't really mean squat! So it's a frickin crap shoot! However, I do like Iowa today. Iowa did not lose a game by more than five points the entire season, including against Indiana and Oregon, both much better teams than Vanderbilt. Throw in the fact that Iowa does not have a single opt-out for this game! Finally, the BIG TEN is kicking ass again this Bowl Season...something like 7-1 with the only loss, with USC last night in O.T. I think Iowa can win this game, but I don't have the stones to play the money line, in case Pavia pulls one out of his ass again, in the final minute. But I will take the generous spread.

TEXAS -7
Cheatchigan has to be a mess right now, after the actions of that creep of a Head Coach they just canned! However, IMO they made a great hire with Wittingham as their next HC. But I don't see him helping the Wolverine's cause today. Texas has been on the upswing and as long as Sark doesn't fuck things up again (which is very possible), I think the Longhorns win this one easily. I hate going against the BIG TEN...unless cheatchigan is the team you're going against.

OHIO STATE -9.5
I already have a future bet on Ohio State to win the Natty, so I don't need another wager straight-up, but I did take Ohio State -9.5 and the under 42.5 on a parley. Granted, Ohio State looked like shit in the BIG TEN Championship game...but keep in mind, they were playing a pretty good team in Indiana. Coming off that huge win AT cheatchigan HAD to have an effect...not an excuse, but anyone who has ever played in a rivalry game and then had to play the following week...it has an adverse effect on you, at least a little bit. But as bad as they played, THEY STILL COULD HAVE WON THAT GAME! Ohio State's only problem all year long, has been the right side of the offensive line. The starting right guard has played terrible and the right tackle, not much better. So believe me, Ryan Day knows this! They have had three weeks to fix the problem with the O-line. They shit-canned the right guard (said he's injured, but he isn't injured, he's benched!) and have two guys filling in at that position. Which ever one is having the best of it, will probably see the majority of snaps. If Ohio State fixed their problem on the right side of the O-line...AIN'T NOBODY BEATING THEM! If they didn't fix it, these playoff teams will definitely take advantage, including Miami, who can get after the QB really well! This line at 9 or even 10 is begging for Miami money! I just don't see Miami scoring a whole lot, but I see Ohio State getting their offense back in tune and winning this game rather easily.
