Talk about getting no respect. How in the hell is Kent a one point favorite over Pittsburgh? Now I understand that Kent is a very good team, but still there is no way they should be favorite over Pitt. Can someone give me a good reason for this line?

Stag, your first statement is the only reason i'm not jumping all over Pitt. However, you cant try to tell me that the MAC is a stronger conference than the Big East, or even close for that matter. Besides Kent maybe Ball St. and Bowling Green are worth a mention in the MAC but other than that its a joke. Sure Kent has won 20 games in a row, but look at who they beat. Their first good win was this last game against Alabama, another overrated team. I'm almost 100% sure this line is due completely to the disrespect of Pitt. The line in todays game was off as well, making it the easiest winner of the tournament so far. This line looks too good to be true which always means a pass for me, but I know i'll be kicking myself when Pitt deals with Kent.
pitt is overrated in my opinion. They played in their backyard this weekend.....played a chitty Cal team today that went scoreless for over half of the second half, yet still couldn't bury them. Pitt shot horribly from the line today.....12-26 (46%) and only shoots 61% for the year as a team. Granted Kent only shot 53% yesterday from the line, but they avg. 72% as a team on the year....and in a close game, which this figures to be, I'm on the team that has shown the ability to shoot free throws. As far as the conference, it doesn't matter where you are coming from anymore....Kent has shown that they are a good team, and I'm sick of hearing about how they don't play anybody just because they are in the MAC. Many MAC coaches have said this is the best MAC team they have ever seen, period. If this team was in a major conference, you can't tell me that they wouldn't be able to hold their own. Kent's three tourney wins the last two years: Indiana (big 10)...Okie St. (big 12)....Bama (SEC). Looks to me like they are making their way through the "big leagues"......next up, (big east)!!!

Get real...So. Ill. is a bigger school (enrollment) and is a very good basketball team.

I know the Big East is not the dominating conference it used to be, but thats not to say there are no good teams anymore. I just think that because its Pittsburgh we're talking about, people refuse to give them the props they deserve. When you think Big East, you think about Uconn, Georgetown, Syracuse, and Villanova but not Pitt. People still see the name and say 'well its Pitt so they cant be very good'. Add to that the fact that people have fallen in love with Kent St. and you have a line that is way off. Imo Kent and So. Ill. are about equal and Uconn and Pitt are about equal, yet Uconn is a 4.5 point favorite and Pitt is a dog? Vegas has adjusted the line to compensate for the public's disrespect for Pitt and their love of Kent....but Pitt is still the better team. Thats the way I see it anyways...we'll see how/if the line moves throughout the week.
Betting most the seasons profit on pitt....my eyes jumped out of their sockets when i saw that line.
How can pitt get this disrespected? I know they played basically home games this weekend, but won both games by dbl digits. They held cal scoreless for over ten min. hell they only scored one pt in 15min. You might hit a cold streak for awhile but to not score over that long of a time span is also do to good defense!!!!

Pittsburgh's 61% from the free throw line probably will come into play here since it figures to be a close game. They are, by far, the worst FT shooting team still alive.
If can get some inside work look out. There are on a deal. I for one will enjoy this one they have made me a nice$$$$ That being said they need Gates to step up Big time. GO KENT ST.
yeah i am backing off on the pitt play, been watching video from these two teams and am not going to touch this game
