Just a lean so far to Central Michigan. After last year I swore I wouldn't play the first week of the season again, but that's starting to be a difficult challenge.
The line is 17, I thought it would open at about 13, so that kinda scares me as what the OM is thinking. Bottom line, Kentucky hasn't played that well against so called lower division schools, especially at home. They only beat E Michigan by 4 last year in Lexington, and barely got by E Kentucky a year or two in a row recently. Austin Peay even played them tough a few years ago. On top of that, they are at Florida next week, a team they haven't beaten in 30 years or so. With the possible exception of Tennessee I can't think of any team they would like to beat more. I just can't see Cats not looking ahead a little bit to the Gators.
I think CMU's defense is supposed to be pretty good, but the offense is kind of an unknown as they are breaking in a new QB, and new receivers. I do think they do have a good running back though. Kentucky should/could have a pretty decent team if they get some good QB play. Terry Wilson (Juco) has been named the starter, and he can 'move', but just thinking it may take him a game or 2 to get adjusted to life in the fast lane.
Anyone know any more on CMU? I'll be looking to take Kentucky next week if the line is right.
