Serious Question:

At what point (if any) do you root for this team to do something we'll probably never see again in our lifetime? The best example I have is the 2007 Patriots. I'm not a fan, but I wanted them to pull off the perfect season. I attended the AFC championship and wanted to be able to say I saw that team play.

I know KY is the big bad wolf and a lot of people don't like us similar to the NY Yankees and Alabama football....I get that. There are a couple of teams that I would never personally cheer for in this situation. It doesn't matter if you hate Cal or not, you have to respect how 9 alpha dogs are buying in to a system where they play 20-25 minutes per game and actually play defense. I've watched every game and it still does not make sense to me. It's now a 3 game season and it could end tomorrow so I'm just trying to enjoy every second of it.

There is no right or wrong answer here. Bash, praise, curse, laugh. I'm just very curious to see if anyone other than the blue bloods appreciate what these future millionaires are sacrificing for the TEAM.....and making history. If you want us to die, please tell me what makes you hate UK. Hopefully, there are some better responses than Cal's a cheater, we're paying our players, etc.

Prolly wasting your time. Haters gonna hate. Just sit back and enjoy. Hopefully we will witness history. From this point on anything can happen. Go Cats!!!

If the roles we reversed for certain teams there is no way i would cheer for them....ul, unc, duke, iu. Just the way it is for me and i am sure the same way for the UK haters. Everyone has a list and unfortunately we make it on a lot of their list. Kind of what makes it fun.

I'm not a real fan of any team anymore. Once you get old enough to be the player's father and now grandfather, it's tough to root for a bunch of kids who you know could careless about you. Having stated that opinion, I tell my friends whose lives still tend to be "enriched" by their favorite local teams winning, it would be awful hard to be a KENTUCKY basketball fan because of the "ONE AND DONE" program it's become... The beauty of rooting for college teams (and even pro teams) was watching certain players grow and become better before they left the school. Just hoping for the one "magical" season where they can be champions or make it to a Final Four by combining dedicated seniors with some underclassmen and great coaching. For this reason if I lived in Kentucky, I'd be a Louisville fan and appreciate their success far more than Kentucky's in reason years........To be brief, I could care less to witness Kentucky going undefeated. It's just 5-8 kids who stopped by before they turned pro. Doubt that many remember being told about the early days of Kentucky basketball or the history of the Adolph Rupp /Texas Western game......The casual middle aged Indiana fan probably can still rattle off the starting 5 of the 1976 undefeated team. I seriously doubt if the same can be said about this Kentucky team's casual fans 5 years from now.....Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
