anyone think that -- as unlikely as it might be that the yanks drop to 0-2 -- that this could still be a dangerous game for new york because of the dome?
the reason i ask is because brown is a ground ball pitcher who throws a lot of heavy sinkers that induce grounders. problem is, a lot of playable balls on grass scoot through to the outfield for base hits in a dome.
i remember making a lot of good money going against charles nagy (a sinker baller) when he would pitch in toronto or minnesota because of the dome turf. and this is the first time since 1995 that brown is going to have to deal with domes.
i cant retrieve career dome numbers- but the few times he has pitched in domes the L3 years (interleague im assuming), his ERA is 4.31 (much higher than his normal ERA)
having said that, tampa hasnt seen this guy before and he is a difficult pitcher to pick up with his quirky delivery. so maybe tampa is clueless for 9 innings and it wont matter
anyone have a perspective or opinion?
