Had a conversation with a woman about kid friendly restaurants. I told her I stay clear of those places, especially on the weekends. She thought I was full of myself and that It didn't matter. What do you guys think.

I tend not to go to them.....

I tend not to go to them.....

I steer clear of them too, as much as I can. However, it's probably due to the fact I don't have kids. However, I must say you won't find me in either a chuck e cheese or a dave n busters EVER. I would rather be at an awesome sports bar where they have big screens, wings, and beer.

If I'm out with my wife we are usually somewhere top dollar. We usually have the restaurant comp us our whole meal plus drinks because they want my wife referring business their way (being she works for the hospitality industry). We have a stack of Landry's gift certificates (over $2K at least due to their referral program) sitting on our kitchen counter if we want to go to Chart House or McCormick & Schmicks. Other places, it's free too whether it be sushi, steak, or lobster. Bottom line, if it's not free we don't go we have several and I mean several options because she gets invited to these places regularly by the restaurant owners. Whenever I do go out though, I look out for the waiters - I always tip the 20% plus too and I'm not a cheap skate.

Like many others, we get sick of going out to eat often and most of the time would much rather cook at home. I really enjoy cooking and find it relaxing. Also, I think I'm getting pretty good at it as I like to find new recipes and try them out. Sometimes, they're a total fucking disaster and sometimes we find one we really like.
