Hey Scott - how do copy and reply to something in a post that identifies the quote's originator?

That would be the famous quote button at the bottom right.

Alot of people get pissed at me because I use it so much. I use it to keep track of what I am responding to so I can answer. I usually edit it though. They dont like to read through stuff twice.
