Kings vs. Jazz from Covers.com

If the Utah Jazz is eliminated from the playoffs tonight, at least the team won't be leaving empty handed.

Utah has taken the money in all three of its post-season matchups so far with the Sacramento Kings.

On Saturday, the Jazz were edged out by the Kings 87-90, but covered the number as a 4 1/2-point home underdog. The combined 177 points plunged well 'under' the 'total' for the third straight game.

So far in this playoff series, the two squads have combined for no more than 179 points and no fewer than 175. They've dropped below the 'total' by an average of an incredible 12.5 points per game.

Mike Bibby scorched the nets for 26 points for the Kings in Game 3. And Chris Webber and Peja Stojakovic each chipped in with double-doubles.

Karl Malone (23 points) and John Stockton (15) continued to lead Utah.

Sacramento coughed up the ball a careless 20 times, resulting in 30 points in the game and the team shot a wretched 35.6 percent from the field.

However, the Kings ruled the boards, as they out rebounded the Jazz 55-29.

Sacramento hasn't been impressive in its field-goal shooting this series, converting them at a dismal 38.46 percent clip.

Meanwhile, the Jazz are sinking two-pointers to the tune of 42.5 percent, which is disappointing compared to the team's 44.9 percent season mark.

Despite these numbers, Utah has grabbed the cash in its last four games.

Sacramento is going in the opposite direction, having lost against the spread (ATS) in its last four. The Kings have also failed to cover in three of their last four road outings.

The good news for Sacramento is the team enters tonight's tilt on one day of rest -- a spot in which it holds a profitable 27-13 ATS record.

The Geriatric Jazz is a less-impressive 22-20 ATS with just one day off between games.

Oddsmakers have the Kings as a four-point favorite and the 'total' is set at 187

Nice article TTM$$!!!

my 2 biggest plays tonight for the playoffs are:

SACRAMENTO -3.5 AND OVER 186.5 (BOTH 12 UNITS)

1) no way all 4 go UNDER!!!!

2) Sac is so much better

3) if sac comes out smoking (which i think they will!) it's all over for the Jazz!

2400/2000 (or 1200/1000)

if this loses, which at the most will split and i lose the juice, but if they both lose, NBA season is over for me. have plenty in the old bankroll, just too many games are unpredictable. good luck!!
