These snippets below are just rewritten cut and pastes from some writeups I've been browsing:
Suns have held opponents under 100 points three of last five games (Portland with 101 points).
?You can see the intensity going up lately (on defense),? forward Shawn Marion said.
Especially true at home where the Suns have limited opponents to 99.4 points per game as opposed to 111.7 points away from home.
Under has played in 6 of 9 games at American West . Bettors have failed to pick up on this trend and instead have continued to bet the over.
The over with the Suns is still a pretty safe bet because the last five teams the Suns held under 100 points were the Houston Rockets, New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies who are all in the bottom half of the league in points scored.
It's risky at anytime to take an under in a Suns game unless they are playing a solid defensive team or a team that struggles offensively. Kings are averaging 98.5 points through the first 15 games and 6 of the last 10 games between the two teams have played over.
In my guess (that's all it is, ok?) the Kings and the Suns are both trying to stress defense more than in the earlier games this year. This is a calculated riisk, but tonite I'm going against the trends. Please don't anyone be unduly influenced by this madness.
Kings/Suns un 217 (-119) :142smilie :mj07:
GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS THAT HAVE THE OVER.
