This one is strong. Now my local takes Americas Line numbers when they come out. They have Iona -4.5 over URI. Now I know you are thinking that I ona should not give 4.5 to anyone the way they have played laterly.

I banged this game hard based on the following.

1) URI is not a good shooting team
2) They have not played in 16 days.
3) Iona has athletes that can run URI out of the building when The Rams get sluggish in the second half and they will.
4) I ain't planning on kissing the seahag any time soon.

As soon as I get a firs thalf from Pinnacle on this I will hit it because I think Iona will be up 8-12 at halftime and win this by about the same margin

Mtsu Rates a 61 on the road to Villanova 59 at home. Mtsu has more speed and an edge in the backcout and better depth imo

Any concern with these two new faces in URI's lineup -- Jamal Wise and Dawan Robinson haven't played yet this year but I think will start tommorrow. Lean to Iona as well but I do think this is a wild card with these two coming back.

Just wondering what you think.

I banged URI for the following reasons

1.Iona can't play defense or rebound.They are dead last in the MAAC in both.Last in off bds,def bds,rebounding margin,etc
2.There dead last in defense,FG% defense
3.They are 1st in ...turnovers and turnover margins.A -4.78 what ever that means.
4.They avg on offense 60 pts and give up 77.And look at the teams they have lost to.Rider at home,Fordham at home.
5.Jeff Ruland...I forgot what game it was.I think the Fordham one.He played a 2-2 zone.He had one of his gds basket hanging at mid court waiting for a fast break.Only "Tark the Shark" could get away with that.

The layoff does concern me though.And Iona has so much talent.They are capable of beating many good teams on any given nite.
Iona ats at home under Ruland have been 3-5,5-6,5-5 and 3-8.URI the past 2 yrs covered 9 each yr.

I like Iona.At least they have shown some signs of wanting to win.URI seems like they are not even interested.

Certainly, Yahoo has been known to be wrong, but according to the 60-54 URI advantage I saw at one time, that means Iona went on a 23-2 run to end the game. Was that right, or just another Yahoo mistake?
