The KISS theory worked great, 4-0, for the first round, so I am going to stick to it for Round 2.

These match ups are very hard to ignore:

Ryan vs Foles
Brady vs Mariotta
Roethlisberger vs Bortles
Brees vs Keenum

Not sure I have every seen such a disparity at the QB position in all 4 games. I know there is a ton of information to consider for these games, and there are certainly some defenses that could level the playing field, but I am going to keep it simple and go with the best QBs.

Atlanta -2.5 -120 - I think the Eagles defense will show, but who do you trust more on offense to make plays? I also think this line is begging for Eagle money.

New England -13 -110 - I really like this game. I see a big blowout and will also play FH. Love it when everyone gets negative on them, they should come out and destroy a bad TN team.

Pitt -7 -120 - I am a little concerned with Pitt as they have showed a lot of holes at times this year, but they got embarrassed by Jacksonville during the season so I see them coming in rested and with an attitude. They should be able to get to Bortles who proved how bad he was last week.

New Orleans +4.5 -120 - This is a very tough game to cap. Really like how Minnesota has played all year, but still have a problem with Keenum winning them this game. He will have to be almost perfect for them to win. Reminds me a little of Dilfer with Baltimore. Maybe he can do it, but I am not betting on it. Brees should keep New Orleans in this game.

So lets KISS it again this weekend. I do not feel as strongly as I did last week with the exception of New England but I like the theory so lets see how it works. I will play NWE big and the others much smaller and tie them in some teasers.

Good Luck!!

I couldn't agree more.

I actually just had this conversation. Gotta take top QB talent in playoffs.

The only one that scares me is Vikes game. Home field with nasty D may only need Keenum to game manage and roll conservative. BUT - I still think you gotta roll Saints +4.5.

Good luck - I'll prob RR and tease these 4 picks myself.

QBR? Just another meaningless made up stat to me. I really do not pay any attention to these type of metrics. I am just old school that way. I also hate all the WAR crap in baseball, football combines, etc. To me, all that matters is how you play on the field when it matters.

I am the first to admit that Keenum had a great year, but do you really believe Keenum is the 2nd best QB in the league based on his QBR (and Prescott is 4th!)? He is a very average QB that is leading a team with a great defense to the playoffs. In that light, he reminds me of Dilfer with the Ravens. Actually, he will only remind me if he can win a couple of games. Just not sure I trust him to do that.

I will be rooting for the Vikings and would like to see them win since I like good stories, but if I have to make a play, I simply do not trust Keenum. My guess is if they win, it is because of the defense.

Keenum has certainly been underrated and an abundance of good weapons to throw to hasn?t hurt.

Also, Ryan has been very mediocre this year. If you take a look at his career stats year by ear, last year looks like an anomaly. while he?s regressed this season, he?s still being thought of as the elite level QB he played like last season.

BOL this week, Bason.

Yeah, I agree DZ. I can certainly make a case for Philly to win their game as well as Minnesota and maybe even Jacksonville. I really do not bet the NFL that much, just having some fun since soccer is slow.

Good Luck!!

Cleaned up with NWE yesterday. I need Pitt just to win and the Saints +7 for a rather large parlay so I am sure one will be wrong.

Yesterday did nothing to change my mind about the quality of play in the NFL. Rules were changed to benefit the offenses over the years and now they are breaking down. Eagle game was not a very good game. The constant replays of obvious plays is completely ridiculous. I just put the games on my second TV and watch something else on the primary one. I had NWE very big but the officiating in that game was simply embarrassing (and it was not very good in the Eagle game either). They simply replace pass interference calls with holding and illegal contact. The ridiculous call against Decker of TN really changed that game. I think NWE wins big no matter what but that call made a big difference.

Sorry for the rant, but I really think the NFL has become a flawed product. The powers to be have really changed a once great sport.

Onward and upward!!

I agree. I've complained for the last decade or so about how bad of a product the NFL is, esp compared to the game I loved growing up and in my youth. Agree w all you say and throw in all the other delays.

Hate that the Falcons lost and I think the ball hitting the ATL knee at end of 1st half was the difference. Should have been an easy INT and they prob get 3 out of it. Give up a pass and lose 3...big swing that should have never happened for so many reasons. I had moneyline too but really like them aside from betting.

Torn today but prob gonna take the points and buy the hook and go w Jags +8. I hate Steelers and Pats but at the same time would love to see that rematch...but also hoping Jags can screw that up and I think Jags defense prob a better matchup against NE. We'll see...go Jacksonville...

Steelers coaching staff is a bunch of morons. Two horrible 4th and inches calls will cost them this game. There is a reason the Patriots win the games they are supposed to, their coaches are not morons. You have a huge QB and can't run a sneak for a first down. Just ridiculous to me. COACHING MATTERS!!

And now the onside kick. You kick it deep. They run twice and you have one play to stop them and get the ball back with good field position with plenty of time. Now you stop them they kick a fg.

Seriously, Tomlin and the rest of his staff are complete idiots. This was one horribly coached game. They deserve to lose this game. Truly can not believe how bad their coaching decisions were today. I would fire Tomlin simply because of this game.
