thanks for the responses in advance.

keep getting a message from my comp when rebooting:

it says cannot find :

c:/windows/services.exe

and it's kinda annoying, but my comp runs fine....i wanna know how i can get rid of these pop up boxes when my comp reboots.

I backed up my registry when i tried to go in and delete this registry thing, but when i reboot my computer, it keeps on saying that it can't find this path.....even though i deleted it out of my registry.....??

what am i missing here?

Which Windows??? Did you install or uninstall anything just before this started happening??? Have you run a virus scan recently??? I'll check back later to see if you replied.

Keep searching the registry. Most likely there is a string still in there somewhere. Search for "services.exe" and delete it. If you still can't find it look in your startup folder.

sorry guys, windows XP.

apparantly i was trying to crack a flash program and when i rebooted my comp, it says it cannot find windows/services.exe

I don't know if this services.exe is supposed to be in there.....

should i control / alt / delete to END this process????

maybe it'll stop those pop up messages from coming up....

i just wanna know if it's someting my COMP needs (windows/services.exe).

ok, repaired WINDOWS XP with some minor probs...but the pop up box seems to be gone.

then repaired my connection to the internet ( it fawked up when everything reloaded.)

Bell Sympatico tech guy said that there are bugs with windows XP when it comes to DSL connections...in other words, their software ain't compatible with windows XP..................much.

nice guy, pretty much helped me fix the prob....knew where to go.

everything's back to normal in my land.

2 fawking hours it took me to figure this out.:nono:
