KMA or any other computer gurus...

I recently installed aol instant messenger for my son. I do not use aol for anything else.

The problem...a window keeps popping up everytime we log on. It says:

Active update
The following update is ready to install
AOL core services software update-install now

I want to have as little aol crap on my computer as possible, so if possible I don't want to install this.

How do I get this to stop popping up?
