After turning on my computer (Windows XP) the "update" box (green box with the moving yellow arrow) appears in the lower right portion of the task bar and it is apparently preventing any other programs from running. Its has been doing this for hours. I have tried re-booting and it keeps doing it. I am unable to do anything on the PC. No other program is able to run. (I am on my work PC now) This update box has appeared before but allowed other programs to run and did not continually run as it is doing now.
Any suggestions on how to disable this or what the problem may be?
