I think Chic would be stupid not to make the move. They say Deng can't be touched, did I miss something about him. He's a good young player but to think he'll be a guy that can get that team to the championship is reaching pretty far. Except for a few times in the NBA you have to have at least one elite player on your team and I just don't see Chic having that guy. Why not get Kobe and give yourself a chance.

Who exactly would be getting sent back to LA?

Gordon & Deng are musts. Is Noah & Tyrus in the deal as well?

If Lakers land those 4 for Kobe & whatever I think this is a move that works for them.

Give them 2-3 years & they could be a powerhouse if Bynum develops.

I'm starting to think this might not happen today either. Pinny or other books would have taken the game down if there was any more substance to this. Heck, the game isn't even circled.

I still think this is going to be a done deal, just might take a little while longer.

As a Laker fan, I don't want Kobe if he isn't going to want to be there. I don't want anyone on the Bulls except Gordon and Deng. As for Noah, keep him. He's going to be a huge bust. And fans in LA certainly won't like him. He doesn't have an NBA body and theres something about the guy I just want to strangle him.

The current Lakers era of competitiveness is over.

I really like Kobe. Not the person but the athelete. I think he's a great fit anywhere. If you can get over your hatred of the guy, and most of it is justified, theres not a better player in the NBA since Jordan. There's not a guy you would rather have shooting a game winning shot. He's just that good if you look past his persona. But thats just my opinion and you guys are entitled to yours. He's the only person I would actually consider watching an NBA game for.

Outside of watching him play, I might have watched a cumulative two hours of the NBA including playoffs in the last two years. It really is that dreadful of a sport to me.

they are saying a 3rd team will have to get involved to get that "star quality" player that the Lakers will need to sell ticks.. Saying Pierce or Arenas is a possibility, I know, not the star power of Kobe.. but the Laker fan isn't going to buy Ben Gordon as a star player.. 3rd team will have to get involved for sure...
