LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Kings recalled goalie Milan Hnilicka from the minor leagues on Friday to fill in for injured starter Roman Cechmanek.
Hnilicka, acquired from Atlanta in the offseason, is 3-5 in eight games with Manchester of the AHL. He has a goals-against average of 2.72 and .897 save percentage.
Cechmanek bruised his hip in Los Angeles' win over Nashville on Thursday when he collided with Predators forward David Legwand.
The Kings also placed left wing Kip Brennan on the injured list because of a charley horse.
Brennan has played 10 games this season, recording his first NHL goal and 28 penalty minutes.
