GL nick...just curious...

I know pitts plays atlanta tough, but i can't put any money on that game due to the fact that atlanta hasn't won in maddux's last 5 starts....i think atlanta may be "DUE".

and why the JAYS????

thanks in advance for a reply.

Maddux hasn't lost to the Pirates in the last 7 years! However, Atlanta's offense has been putrid lately.

Maddux is not a money pitcher anymore. He is very average. The Braves bats do not produce runs for him (cause they still think he is shutting out the opposition)

I suppose looking at the score now this was foolish, but what I liked was that Maddux faced a ton of batters and gave up a ton of hits last time out. For most pitchers that is a sign of weakness.

Toronto was largely based on the likelihood that the Jays would rough up Garland. Seems to happen quite a bit in situations where the pitcher is a mediocre pitcher and they throw a great game and come right back vs. the same team in the very next outing.
