Alright, not sure how many people are out there today. Yeah, I know its a holiday....its still summer......but I've told myself I am going to commit myself to more writing, so I'm inside the rest of the day doing outlines and stuff. Nothing too serious.

So, we got a very compelling double header starting later this afternoon. Figure I would start an open thread to discuss those games, games we saw over the weekend and maybe even get a jump on some discussion about this weekend's game.

Today, I love Fresno. Hope there's still room on the bandwagon. I will post a write up on the game, but I am not sure what I can say that others have not.

Its good to finally have tangible results to talk about.

Maybe with a game about start, some traffic will find this thread.

Anyway, here is why I am watching....well in addition to my play on Fresno.

Neither club plays next week, but each has a compelling game in Week 3, so I want to see what both have to offer in advance of that.

Rutgers goes to UNC and the Tar Heels are everyone's darkhorse darling in the ACC. Its an ESPN Thursday Night game and a compelling one between a pair of upstart programs.

Fresno, meanwhile has a lot on the line. They host Wisconsin in a late night Saturday Game in Week 3. If they win today, it sets up a compelling showdown. If Fresno is sitting at 2-0 after Week 3 they will be ranked in the top-15. I think they stand a great shot vs Wisco, but right now its only on paper.

We'll find out a lot about both clubs and their ability to match up in Game 2 challenges over the next three hours.

Hey guys.

I need to represent New Jersey State University since I'm the only one in the country who took them.

:mj07:

Still too hot here in Florida to spend Labor Day outside.

Good luck everyone.

I'll say! On one hand, its an easy kick and you have to get him some confidence....but that last attempt was, ahem, bad. He kicks it like that again, it does not even make that chip shot.

I wont crucify Schiano for going for it there.

Nice stand on D. Risk did not bite Schiano. They have great field position now. They really have not had trouble moving on Fresno.

And, as I say that, Schiano calls a flea flicker. Teel overthrows it and its an easy INT in the end zone.

man Fresno St can not do anything in this game. It should be a 2 possession lead for Rutgers right now!

Its been upper 80s and humid all weekend up here in Toledo. Been outside virtually every minute the last two days and I am liking just hanging out today in the AC while keeping an eye on the pennant races and this game.

Yep. Fresno is the big public dog. Did you get the line as it got closer to -4/-3.5 towards game time? If so, maybe we can both win!!!!

Regardless, good luck to you today and throughout the season. :toast:

I got 4 and should have waited for the 3'. How many chances do the Knights think they are going to get?

Rutgers has had 19 plays snapped in Fresno territory.

Meanwhile, Fresno's average field position start has been its own 15.

Yet, its still scoreless. Rutgers, so far, is missing out on the chance to really take control on the scoreboard.

Another third and long coming up for the Bulldogs.

If Fresno cant score before half which looks very doubtful, I think they can get some points to start the 3rd Q...their explosive KR who led NCAA in KR average last year will get his 1st chance to run one back so they should be set up with decent field position.

Teel is going to hit one of these guys eventually, WR's are getting a step every play.

Yea, and since the Rutgers WR can hold off the DBs and get the Pass inter. called on the D, they will defintley get in the endzone eventually
