NY Mets (Chen) @ Philadelphia (Wolf)

Going with the visiting Mets winners of 7 of their last 10!

Chen is 3-1 in 6 starts since joining the Mets with the Mets going 5-1 in those starts including 3 straight wins, he is 2-0 against the Phillies ERA of 3.29. Wolf has been much better on the road he is 2-3 at home ERA of 3.32, 2-5 when pitching during the day ERA of 6.05 and he is 1-2 against the Mets ERA of 3.84.

The Mets are 20-32 as a road underdog , 19-30 during the day, 6-9 on turf, 25-40 on the road and 13-14 vs. lefties but are batting a very solid .354 in their last 10 games. The Phillies are 28-17 as a home favorite, 23-26 during the day, 43-34 on turf, 41-27 at home and are 15-15 against lefties batting .309 last 10.

The bottom line here is that the Phillies are a very young team and have a horrible coach in Larry Bowa who makes decisions that I just can't figure out, the bullpen is blowing games left and right and I really think this young team is feeling the pressure of September and have the wrong guy to get them through it in Bowa.

Play NY Mets +120

give me a break Bowa is the best thing to happen to Philly baseball in years, without him the Phils would be sucking wind behind the Expos,Wolf was 0-1 with a 4.80 era in rehab stint,14 hits 7 walks in 15 innings. Bruce Chen is Bruce Chen go over the total today.

The key to me in this game is the Phillies sparkling acquisition of Beartooth Boy and Constipated Cook from the Mets.

It's as if they observed the Mets carrying a 40# pack up a hill and said, "Here, we'll take that for you!"

METS for me today.

I also think that D'Amico off prolonged DL is a solid go-against but the over might be a better play.

GLAVINE is my favorite road pitcher (with Harnisch on the DL, anyway . . .)

Love to play on Dessens but NOT on the Reds at home

BERE wins today

Jennings and Rueter fit the IP Theory and will inspire one another to an UNDER. Jennings continues his roll and the Giants give Reuter almost no support. (4 runs in Reuter's L3 starts while he has allowed only 8 in 3 losses)

Strange little dog parlay for 1/2 unit:
Jennings/Wilson/Halladay/Towers/Glover

PICKS:

Mets
Bravos
Cubbies
Bucs Gm 1
Gm 1 over
[Brewers Gm 2 if they lose Gm 1]
Rocks/Gigantes Under
Rocks
Tor
CWS
TB
O's

Well that's why Vegas, offshores and Locals stay in business difference of opinions. LOL one thing is for sure one of us will win the game and I wish you the best of luck and I also respect your plays as you are a solid capper!
