Kobe Bryant scored 40 points and Dwight Howard had 13 points and
eight rebounds while battling constant foul trouble for the
Lakers, who are 0-3 for the first time since 1978 and just the
fourth time in franchise history

0-8 preseason......

Kobe will be looking for a buyout on his contract because he isn't the reason Lakers don't know how 2 win......:D

Its three games into the season. Kobe isn't going anywhere and Lakers will be rolling soon enough.

Ohio but not a Buckeye
I said it all last year, and I'm still saying it. Howard isn't going to bring them a championship and the big men the Lakers have aren't their reasoning for not winning a title.

They need a PG and they need a SF. Nash is a PG who dominates the ball and sets things up. Not a good mix with Kobe who likes to have the ball a lot. Artest blows, and they need a SF who can slash and shoot from 3pt land a little bit but is also team minded first and isn't a volume shooter. I think Inguodala(who I went to college with his soccer playing brother, who happens to be able to jump like a kangaroo as well LOL) would be great fit.

Here are the guys they should've tried to go after instead of Howard....

Deng, Batum, Inguodala, Dorrell Wright, Budinger, Marvin Williams.

Nash isn't a good fit at PG for the Lakers style of play and guys they have. He needs athletic guys around him who like to run the floor...while he has Howard, he also has guys like Gasol, Artest, Kobe and a bench that aren't going to get up and down the floor.

Think about it. If you're running the pick and roll with Nash, who are you afraid of beating you from the outside or the jump shot on this Lakers team?

The Lakers are just full of a bunch of individuals who are talented at their positions(minus artest) but those talents clash and don't make a good mix for chemistry.

Good thoughts but I think Iggy is way over rated! That guy won't win you anything.Just my opinion, look what he does in big games,he shoots like 8-20 most of the time, high volume but not good accuracy.
