MadJackers!!!

Anybody in Vegas this weekend? If so where and maybe after years of following this site I might be able to actually meet a couple of you. Myself and 2 friends of mine will be there today thru Monday. Going to the Life Is Beautiful music festival downtown on Saturday. But looking to gamble and party our faces off the rest of the time. My first time in Vegas so looking to take a lot of it in. Not trying to drag anyone into anything but if you'll be out and about and want to shake hands with a fellow MadJacker then let me know where you'll be and maybe we can cross paths.

You're gonna LUV it. Place sure ain't what it used to be though, they'll milk ya ($$$) but good. Used to be the greatest vacation deal ever, no more.

Make sure you visit downtown and that will be like turning the clock back about 5 years and you'll feel like you're in paradise. IF you could turn the clock back 10+ years - you'd feel like you're in HEAVEN.

Never a dull moment, except for the week of 9/11, Oh yeah, that vacation started out in typical Vegas style but you wouldn't think you were in Vegas for the last few days and no way to get outa there either. I was there for that week, my plane was supposed to take off that morning (Vegas time), like an hour or so after the second building got hit in N.Y) - of course my plane never did get off the ground. It didn't make a difference since I didn't bother going to McCarran but I did have all the baggage packed neatly in the trunk of the car ready for the trip home :( . Good thing we had a rented car. You couldn't believe how quiet the place got for the 11th, 12the and 13th. UNreal.

It's also a good idea to try at least ONE buffet one day and ONE good restaurant at least ONE day to get a good sample of the food there. Great Steakhouse in New Orleans and great restaurants in New York, New York and most of the upscale hotels. You picked a good time of the year to be there, but it could get chilly at night; "free" dwinks should keep ya warm if you didn't bring a sweater or jacket. :)

Have fun, that's what it's supposed to be all about.

I am planning to visit Vegas too. My hubby just signed up for a tour from XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (spam). I'm not really sure what to expect.
