almost forgot to follow up upon arrival back home, there are SO many pot holes in that town.. landed in a pretty bad one in the middle of the night. Result? Broken axle that cost a pretty penny to repair. I did file a complaint with the city, hoping that they will foot the bill. Doubt it...

if you didn't have a person injury... they probably won't repair it...

cities are pretty shitty when it comes to that...

get a lawyer and have them send a complaint... something might happen then..

try to find out if there has been a complaint about that specific hole in the past. You might make a visit to the Div. of Road and Highways for the city with the notion that you are bringing to their attention a very bad pothole[not that you broke an axle there.]..If they tell you that the problem has been reported prior to your report then you have at least a case of the city not making the repair and or not marking the area w/cones and or the like.

I had the axle destroyed on one of my landscaping trailers due to a pothole.City tells me thanks for letting them know BUT since there was no report prior to mine they have no responsibility for my repair..out $600.00 for new axle and loss of equipment for 2 days.

best of luck...
