Laptop problem????

My dell inspiron 6000 has just started to cut off or go into sleep mode when left alone for more than 3-4 minutes. I made no adjustments to settings and it does not do this if it is pluged into ac power. Nothing has happened to the comp. out of the ordinary as I recieved it new 2 months ago. Any thoughts or suggestions?????

sorry, i don't know the correct term for all the stuff in the bottom right hand corner, but right click on where it shows your *time left, on AC power.....etc....* it will give you the option to adjust things.

start - control panel - power options is your starting point

then check the tabs in thier for your solution

thanks guys I think that has fixed the problem. I dont however know why the settings would have changed without someone manually doing it. Anyway thanks :clap:
