If you have the laptop with you while watching games so you can follow other games or play poker or whatever then you know how hot these things can get.
If it gets too hot it's really bad for the computer itself. While shopping for a desktop monitor and a copy of Madden 07, noticed something called a Chill Mat for laptops. Looked cheesy and for $30 I thought it was rediculous, the salesman swore it worked great, but then again that's what salesmen do, plus I could return it if it was junk.
I gotta say it's probably over piced at BestBuy at $30 and you could probably get one cheaper, but it's worth every penny and then some!
Your laptop sit on it, it's about 3/4 of an inch thick and plugs into a USB port for power. Keeps your laptop as cool as if it weren't turned on.
Seriously, this thing works great. If you are worried about your laptop over-heating then definatly get one of these.
